Rates & Session Info
Structural Integration sessions cost $175.
Sessions are 60-75 minutes long, depending on what we find during the session. Kate works with the availability and engagement of the client’s nervous system to tailor the session accordingly.
Upright Being offers two sliding scale appointments per month from $90-$140. Please contact Kate directly to schedule these appointments.
Upright Being accepts all major credit cards, checks and cash and is open for appointments Monday-Thursday.
Cancellation policy: Payment of half the session fee will be charged if canceled with less than 48 hours notice. A charge of the full session fee will be applied to no-shows. Exceptions are if the client is feeling ill or exhibiting symptoms of illness. Please note that exposure to Covid via your child/spouse/neighbor/co-worker/friend etc etc does not excuse you from the cancelation policy.
Upright Being does not accept insurance, but can provide the client with a receipt to submit to their insurance company for reimbursement.
Kate is a queer-aware and trans-aware practitioner and welcomes all people as clients.
Kate works from a weight-neutral perspective. Meaning, all bodies benefit from Structural Integration and attaining an arbitrary number on the scale is not necessary or related to the inherent organization of the system as a whole.
Location Info
Upright Being is located in the heart of Columbia City, just off Rainier Avenue and South Edmunds Street. Clients enter through a shared courtyard with Empire Espresso and Columbia City Pilates. The office is on the second floor of a residential/commercial building. From the courtyard up to the second floor, there are exactly 18 steps. There is no elevator access.
All new clients will be emailed an entry code which allows you into the building and onto the second floor. This code is sent in the email clients receive 48 hours prior to each session as well as in the appointment reminder sent out one hour beforehand.
There is a bathroom at the top of the stairs. There is no waiting room. We ask that you arrive no earlier than 5 minutes prior to your appointment. If you show up early, you will be asked to come back at the hour of your appointment.
Free, 2-hour parking is located on the surrounding streets. Please note that you cannot make an east-bound turn onto Edmunds St from Rainier Ave. Ferdinand Street has a left turn signal and is just one block past Edmunds. The Columbia City light rail station is located four blocks away (0.4 miles) on MLK, as well as bus #7 and #8 that run along Rainier.
