All of us feel the physical effects from our jobs or hobbies, past injuries or surgery… it’s simply part of the adventure of being human. Structural Integration or “Rolfing” was developed by Dr. Ida Rolf to help us get beyond this discomfort. By systematically engaging with the connective tissue, also known as fascia, aches and pains are alleviated and movement becomes more fluid—whether that means reaching down to pick up your child or getting your bike up one of Seattle’s hills.

People come to this type of bodywork for many reasons: pain management, recovery from surgery or injury, improved athletic ability, a wish for a deeper awareness of the body, healthier posture, preventative care…Upright Being is here to help.

During COVID-19, Upright Being has implemented health and sanitation protocols based on standards by the CDC and Washington State Department of Health to ensure a clean and safe space in which to practice this work. As of re-opening in July of 2020, there have been zero cases of transmission in Kate’s office. Please look at the Session Info page for more information on Covid-19 protocols.
